Beekeeping is practiced all over the world, honey has been found in pyramids dating back thousands of years. Amazingly the honey recovered is still edible. Honey does not decompose like other foods, it just turns to a stable crystal structure waiting to be turned back to honey.
Did you know? Honeybees provide pollination for the majority of food that you eat? All fruits and vegetables, nuts, flowers and best of all Honey!
Becoming a beekeeper is a educational, fun and exciting hobby or small business. You can produce and sell Honey, Candles, Wax, Pollen and many other items. Our club has many people who will go out of their way to help you through the processes.
Swarm of Honey Bees.
What is a swarm?  A swarm is natures way of increasing the number of Honeybee colonies.  Honeybees naturally overpopulate their hives during the summer months.  When the colony becomes over populated, the queen will send out scouts to find a new home for her and many of her forager bees, leaving behind a new queen to be born after she is gone.  Many times the bees will ball up on a limb of a tree waiting for the scouts to find a suitable home.  The queen will be near the center of the swarm to be kept warm and protected.
